The supernatural thriller Jatadhara, featuring the talents of Sonakshi Sinha and Sudheer Babu, has made a strong impression at the box office, amassing ₹1.96 crore over its opening weekend. The film, which released on November 8, 2025, takes viewers on a captivating journey through an ancient myth steeped in the allure of sealed treasures and a protective spirit.
According to industry data, Jatadhara recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of 14.92% and Hindi occupancy of 7.68% on its opening day. The film's presence was stronger in the Telugu belt, with morning shows seeing around 12.21% occupancy, which rose to 17.42% by night. The Hindi version, however, struggled to gain traction, with occupancy peaking at 11.61% during the night shows.
Directed by Abhishek Jaiswal and Venkat Kalyan, Jatadhara explores an ancient legend about nobles who sealed treasures with sacred rituals known as "bandanas." Among these was the Pisachi Bandana, which unleashed a fierce guardian spirit, Dhanapisachi. The story follows Shiva (Sudheer Babu), a rational ghost hunter, who is forced to question his beliefs when drawn into this age-old curse.
