Horror icon Jason Voorhees is officially entering the Fog in Dead by Daylight, a decade after initial anticipation. This collaboration was confirmed recently, ending a long period where his inclusion was hindered by rights issues and the existence of his own video game.
Friday the 13th: The Game, released in 2016, was made unplayable on January 1, 2025. Since his own game's demise, the rights holders have apparently struck a deal with Behaviour Interactive for Jason's inclusion in Dead by Daylight, a game that has already featured other horror legends.
Behaviour Interactive is also gearing up for Dead by Daylight's 10th anniversary. Celebrations will include a live event in Montreal, Canada, offering dev panels, gaming stations, and broadcasts. Limited-edition merchandise such as t-shirts, posters, and a vinyl soundtrack will also be available for purchase from June 12 to July 31.
