Summary
- Jason Sudeikis earned $1 million per episode for Ted Lasso.
- He chose to end the series after three seasons.
- Sudeikis prioritized the story over potential increased earnings.
Jason Sudeikis disclosed his impressive earnings from the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso. During the previous season, Sudeikis, who is also a co-creator, was compensated at a rate of $1 million per episode. This substantial figure also included the potential for further increases had he agreed to continue the show for additional seasons.
However, Sudeikis expressed his firm decision not to extend Ted Lasso beyond its original three-season plan. He indicated that the narrative had reached its natural endpoint, with the character Ted returning to Kansas City to be with his son. He emphasized that continuing the series solely for financial reasons would not align with the story's integrity.
