Jason Priestley described the near-fatal events following his 2002 car crash during a practice session for the Indy Racing Infiniti Pro Series. The actor's heart stopped twice after the accident.
Priestley revealed he "bled to death" in the helicopter en route to the hospital and was resuscitated on the hospital roof. His heart stopped a second time near the elevator, requiring another resuscitation.
The accident, which occurred at nearly 180 mph, resulted in Priestley suffering three skull fractures and losing about three and a half weeks of memory. His facial injuries included a "ripped off" nose and collapsed orbital bone.
Despite the severity of his injuries and a tough three-month recovery, Priestley confirmed he has experienced no long-term health effects. He noted his spine is fused and causes him no issues, and his feet healed perfectly.
