Comedian Jason Byrne's Firm Winds Down with €1.3M Net Assets
9 Mar
Summary
- Jason Byrne's main entertainment firm is closing down.
- The company accumulated over €1.3 million in net assets by 2024.
- Byrne recently launched a new performing arts firm in April 2025.

Jason Byrne Entertainment Ltd, the main firm of comedian Jason Byrne, is being voluntarily wound up, according to newly filed company records. The company had amassed substantial net assets, exceeding €1.3 million by the end of 2024.
This decision follows Byrne's public discussion of his 2018 divorce from Brenda, his wife of 14 years, with whom he shares two children. Brenda remained a joint owner and director until last summer when her shares were bought back.
Despite the closure of his main firm, Byrne's career remains active, with sold-out shows on his Irish tour and an upcoming UK tour. He also established a new performing arts firm, Uncarvedblock Ltd, in April 2025, suggesting a strategic business reorganisation.
Byrne has expressed a disinclination to remarry following his divorce, though he is in a new relationship. He also holds shares in other business ventures, including Actus Investments Ltd and formerly Special Eye Entertainment and iLaugh Ltd.
