Jarvis Cocker & Nick Jonas Read CBeebies Bedtime Stories

Jarvis Cocker, the iconic lead singer of Pulp, and Nick Jonas, a member of the Jonas Brothers, are the latest musical stars to lend their voices to CBeebies Bedtime Stories. Cocker's chosen story, "Wally The World's Greatest Piano-Playing Wombat," aims to teach young viewers about managing rivalry and celebrating personal joy. He expressed his delight in revisiting the pleasure of reading stories, a cherished memory from his own son's childhood.

Nick Jonas will read "The Ballad Of Cactus Joe," a tale featuring a cranky cactus and a persistent woodpecker on an adventure. Jonas shared his commitment to raising his daughter with an appreciation for her diverse cultural heritage from both India and the US, highlighting the role of books in understanding family history.

Cocker's episode is scheduled to air on CBeebies on Friday at 6:50 PM, with Jonas's episode following on Saturday at the same time. Both installments will be accessible on BBC iPlayer following their broadcast. They join a distinguished list of musicians who have previously read for the children's channel, including Sir Elton John and Harry Styles.
