Dancer Dispute Erupts: Jani Master Faces Allegations

Choreographer Jani Master is currently at the center of a significant controversy involving allegations of mistreatment towards local dancers within the Telugu film industry. Senior choreographer Dinesh Master has leveled serious accusations, claiming that Jani Master has been consistently overlooking registered dancers from Hyderabad for major film projects. Instead, it is alleged that performers from Mumbai are being hired, impacting the livelihoods of many local artists who depend on film shoots for consistent work.

Dinesh Master further alleged that filmmakers are being misinformed about the availability of local dancers, which facilitates the hiring of external talent. There are also claims that commissions are being collected in connection with this practice. These accusations have sparked considerable discussion across the Telugu film industry, with concerns rising about fair employment opportunities.

The dispute has intensified as reports indicate strained relations between Jani Master and the Film Federation. Following alleged damaging remarks made by the choreographer on July 12, Jani Master was summoned for an inquiry on July 14 but did not attend. Consequently, a show-cause notice was issued, demanding a written explanation within seven days. The federation has also requested a public apology and warned of disciplinary action.
