In October 2025, multi-talented performer Janelle Monáe is bringing her passion for Halloween to life with a month-long festival called Wondaween. As the creative force behind Wondaland Arts Society, Monáe has curated a series of events spanning music, film, gaming, and live experiences.
One of the highlights is Monáe Manor, an immersive experience at the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride where guests can step into a twisted world where the walls talk and the music blares. Monáe has also organized a panel discussion called "The Brains Behind the Blood" at USC, featuring conversations with composer Danny Elfman, writer Akela Cooper, and Monáe's costume team.
Additionally, Monáe will be hosting a '70s-themed game night at The Spare Room and performing as the character Sally in a concert version of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" at the Hollywood Bowl. The month culminates with Vampire Beach, Wondaland's inaugural Halloween music festival in a secret California location.
