On November 3, 2025, Jamia Millia Islamia celebrated its 105th Foundation Day with a lively Talimi Mela, showcasing the university's rich cultural diversity. The highlight of the third day was the Sufi Night performance by the Hussain brothers, which enthralled the audience at the Ansari Auditorium Lawn. The following evening, the 'Akhil Bhartiya Kavi Sammelan' brought together celebrated poets, captivating a crowd of over 8,000 students, faculty members, and guests.
The university also commemorated the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, with a 'Run for Unity' led by the Vice Chancellor and Registrar, followed by an 'Oath of Unity' administered to a large gathering. The Talimi Mela also featured spiritually enriching events, including the "Mehfil-e-Qira'at-o-Naat Khwani" and the Prof. Mohammad Mujeeb Memorial Lecture, which emphasized the importance of understanding and implementing the Quran's message.
Reflecting on the success of the Talimi Mela, the university's leadership praised the event for showcasing Jamia Millia Islamia's intellectual vibrancy and cultural diversity through a range of engaging activities, from seminars and lectures to book fairs, exhibitions, and cultural performances.
