Horror Icon James Tynion IV Plots Two New Film Franchises

Horror author James Tynion IV, through his company Tiny Onion, is expanding his successful comic book properties into film. A new partnership with Lyrical Media will see two of Tynion's works adapted into horror movies: "Exquisite Corpses" and "Room Service." This collaboration formalizes Lyrical Media's role as a significant producing partner for Tynion's intellectual property.

"Exquisite Corpses," a franchise about a deadly game involving dangerous killers, has already achieved significant success as a comic book series, selling over 500,000 copies. Lyrical Media and Tiny Onion aim to develop this property into a broader franchise. "Room Service," originating as a crowdfunded short film and one-shot comic, explores sinister hotel murder scenarios and will also be adapted into a feature film, with Tynion co-writing the script.

These film projects are part of an ambitious development slate for Tynion and Tiny Onion, which includes other adaptations across film and television. The partnership with Lyrical Media, which has backed Tiny Onion since its inception, underscores a shared vision for creating expansive, creator-driven horror content designed for cross-platform success.
