James Franco's Cryptic TikToks: Aliens or Acting?

James Franco has recently returned to social media, specifically TikTok, after largely staying off platforms since 2018. In a series of peculiar videos posted since early June, the actor conveyed a sense of distress, suggesting he was being watched and feared disappearance.

Franco later revealed his agitation stemmed from allegedly witnessing an extraterrestrial on his property. He promised to release footage of this encounter, setting July 13 as the reveal date. Despite claims of his account being hacked, he insisted on sharing the evidence.

On July 13, Franco shared black-and-white clips showing an alien-like figure outside his home. However, the footage was met with skepticism from fans in the comments section, who largely believe it to be fake.

Many users are convinced this is a deliberate marketing campaign for an upcoming film project. They expressed frustration at the month-long buildup for what they perceived as unconvincing evidence. Access to additional footage requires a paid subscription to Franco's account.

Franco's representatives have not yet confirmed the authenticity of his TikTok account or the nature of his project. While he has several upcoming films, none are currently listed as being about extraterrestrial life.

Following sexual misconduct allegations, Franco's mainstream film and television presence has diminished. His last major roles were in 2018's "The Ballad of Buster Scruggs" and the HBO series "The Deuce," which concluded in 2019.
