Jailer 2 Runtime Locked: Under 3 Hours!

Jailer 2, the highly anticipated sequel starring Rajinikanth, has successfully obtained its U/A 16+ certification from the Central Board of Film Certification. This crucial step comes ahead of the film's theatrical debut scheduled for October 15. The action entertainer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, will feature a runtime of just under three hours.

The film's certified length is reportedly 165 minutes and 18 seconds, making it only a few minutes shorter than the original blockbuster. This runtime places it squarely in the category of a long-format commercial entertainer. Rajinikanth returns as the formidable Muthuvel Pandian, with the sequel introducing new characters and expanding the universe established in the first film.

Produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 boasts a star-studded cast including SJ Suryah, Vidya Balan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Mithun Chakraborty, alongside returning actors like Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar. The recently released trailer hints at Pandian's return to his violent past. Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music and background score for the film.
