The film's domestic collections have remained strong, reaching Rs 287.80 crore nett as of its fifth day.
Released on Thursday, Jailer 2 garnered Rs 59.70 crore nett on its opening day. The film's performance has been consistently high, with weekend collections showing substantial figures. The weekday collections have also been robust, further boosted by the Dussehra holiday.
Jailer 2 is now setting its sights on the second spot among 2026's top Indian releases. It is currently just behind Drishyam 3, with a gap that is expected to be closed soon. If the current box office trend continues, Jailer 2 is anticipated to surpass the lifetime collection of its predecessor, Jailer (Rs 604.74 crore), in the coming days.
The film, produced by Sun Pictures, sees Rajinikanth reprising his role as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. It features a star-studded cast including Ramya Krishnan, Yogi Babu, and Vidya Balan. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music for the film. Director Nelson Dilipkumar has expressed gratitude for the overwhelming audience response, noting the "Thalaivar magic" and the film's celebratory reception in theaters.
