The film has achieved a remarkable global gross of $86 million, securing its status as the highest-grossing Tamil-language film of all time. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, "Jailer 2" brings back Rajinikanth as the retired prison officer Tiger Muthuvel Pandian.
