Jailer 2 Shatters Records: Rs 541 Cr Worldwide!

Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth, has rapidly amassed Rs 541 crore globally within its initial six days of release. The film is on a trajectory to challenge the Rs 604.74 crore lifetime collection of its predecessor.

Fueled by the Dussehra festive period, which began on October 15, the movie saw strong footfalls and a notable increase in collections from day five to day six. Positive word-of-mouth and impressive performance in overseas markets, contributing Rs 204 crore, are significantly aiding its box office run.

The film's success is further bolstered by an extended release window, allowing initial excitement, weekend rushes, and festive demand to converge. This provides a favorable runway to approach the Rs 600 crore mark before its second weekend.

With Rs 63.74 crore needed to surpass the original, Jailer 2 is poised to reach this milestone. The critical test will be sustaining collections beyond the holiday period, particularly during its second weekend, to determine its potential for a historic long run and a possible Rs 1,000 crore gross.
