Rajinikanth's 'Jailer 2' is demonstrating significant momentum in its day 1 advance ticket sales across India. The film has already secured the fourth highest opening-day pre-sales for any Kollywood movie released in the post-COVID era, indicating strong audience anticipation. Advance bookings have fetched a substantial 26.83 crore gross.
These impressive figures were accumulated from the sale of 12.84 lakh tickets, excluding any blocked seats, by 9:30 am IST. The Tamil original version is the primary driver of this success, grossing 22.48 crore. The Telugu version follows with 3.78 crore, while the Hindi and Kannada versions have contributed 52.69 lakh and 4.09 lakh, respectively.
The film's advance sales performance has allowed it to surpass previous releases like 'Jana Nayagan' and 'The Greatest Of All Time'. With one day remaining before its official release, 'Jailer 2' has a strong possibility of crossing the 30 crore mark in advance sales, potentially claiming the third spot among Kollywood's highest opening-day pre-sales post-COVID.
