New Delhi is set to host the prestigious Jahan-e-Khusrau World Sufi Music Festival from March 27 to 29, 2026. The ancient Purana Qila will once again serve as the venue for this vibrant celebration of Sufi music, poetry, and spiritual traditions, conceived by Muzaffar Ali.
The festival, now in its 26th year, is dedicated to the legacy of Amir Khusrau and the mystical traditions of various Sufi saints. This year's theme, 'The Steed of Longing | Safar-e-Ishq Continues,' uses the horse as a metaphor for spiritual movement and longing.
The 2026 edition will feature renowned artists from the subcontinent, including Satinder Sartaj and Sukhwinder Singh, among others. Beyond musical performances, the festival will include TEH Bazaar showcasing Indian crafts, literary readings, cultural conversations, film screenings, and unique Sufi food offerings.
Organized under the aegis of the Rumi Foundation, Jahan-e-Khusrau aims to provide an immersive cultural experience that blends music, craft, literature, food, and philosophy, reflecting India's rich artistic and spiritual heritage.
