The legendary Jackie Chan will reprise his role as the globetrotting Asian Hawk in "Armour of God IV: Ultimatum." Principal photography is scheduled to begin in July, with a worldwide release targeted for the second quarter of 2027. The film is produced by Salem Entertainment and supported by the Astana International Financial Centre's Alem Fund, established to promote Kazakh film projects.
The plot follows the Asian Hawk as he embarks on a worldwide pursuit for the ancient artifact known as the Tumar, which carries a reward exceeding $20 million. Filming locations will include Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. Director Robert Kun, known for his work on action films, helms the project.
This marks Chan's first collaboration with Kazakh partners, a partnership he anticipates will continue. The franchise, which began in 1986 with "Armour of God," has consistently featured the adventures of the Asian Hawk character. Producers express pride in hosting such a significant franchise, viewing it as a milestone for Central Asian filmmaking.
