- The franchise officially concludes with Jackass: Best and Last on June 26.
Jackass: Best and Last, releasing on June 26, marks the definitive end of the famed stunt franchise. The film will showcase previously unseen stunts that were too extreme for earlier installments. Steve-O, a pivotal figure in the series, shared his journey from homelessness and a stint at Ringling Bros. Clown College to international stardom.
Despite Jackass's immense popularity, Steve-O disclosed that his compensation for the first season was meager, totaling less than $1,500 after taxes. He received only $200 for some early bits. This final movie acts as a repository for the franchise's most outlandish and unreleased material.
This concluding chapter brings together Steve-O, Johnny Knoxville, Chris Pontius, and Dave England for a final, energetic send-off. The decision to end the franchise stems from the inherent risks involved, particularly after major incidents like Johnny Knoxville's bull encounter featured in Jackass Forever.
