Jack White's New Album 'Frozen Chocolate' Surfaces Unannounced

Jack White has quietly announced his seventh studio album, "Frozen Chocolate," with a surprise pre-order available on his website. The album is slated to ship on July 10, though official release details for other formats remain unconfirmed. This stealthy reveal mirrors White's tendency for unconventional announcements, reminiscent of his previous release, "No Name."

The "Frozen Chocolate" album is described as carrying on the "raucous, raw, and frenetic energy" of its predecessor. Recorded at Third Man Studio in Nashville, it features 13 tracks that blend rock and roll with blues underpinnings, appealing to both long-time fans and newcomers.

Two vinyl editions are currently offered: one with a blue swirl and another with a crumpled, creamy appearance. A single from the album, "G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs," previously sold out on the Third Man site without initial announcement.

White also shared the inspiration behind the album's avatar, "Frozen Charlotte," a character derived from a broken chalkware statue and Victorian penny dolls. Many related sculptures are displayed and available for sale at his "These Thoughts May Disappear" exhibition in London until September 13.
