- He demanded dancers receive equal respect and facilities.
- He opened the door for larger dance troupes on stage.

Actor and dancer Jaaved Jaaferi has reflected on his pioneering role in advocating for dancers' rights during live stage shows. He shared his early insistence that dancers should accompany performing artists on tours and be afforded the same respect and facilities.
During a conversation with IANS, Jaaferi detailed how he pushed for dancers to be included in accommodations, stating, "They should stay where we stay. We will stay in the same hotel." He recalled organizers being surprised by his demands, as they often questioned why a dancer would need supporting dancers.
Jaaferi emphasized his vision for structured, choreographed performances, contrasting them with the brief 'jigs' often performed by heroes of the era. He consistently requested a minimum of two male and one female dancer, or more if the budget allowed.
He also highlighted his troupe's extensive travel across India, including the Northeast, performing as a cohesive team. Jaaferi noted that while large dance troupes are common now, he believes he deserves credit for opening this avenue for dancers in the 80s and early 90s.
