Born in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Hogg studied fine art and textiles before attending the Royal College of Art. She crafted looks for global icons such as Rihanna, Kate Moss, Lady Gaga, Kylie Minogue, and Beyoncé. Welsh described Hogg as an "artist of the body" and a "major British artist."
The event, "Pam Hogg: Style, Defiance And The Art Of Being Seen," will take place at Paisley Town Hall on Friday, March 27, as part of the Paisley Arts Festival, which runs from March 27 to 29. Welsh, who was friends with Hogg for decades, will be joined by model Eunice Olumide and historian Mairi MacKenzie.
