Sutapa Sikdar: Irrfan Khan found Valentine's Day 'ridiculous'

Sutapa Sikdar, the wife of the late acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan, recently revealed insights into their personal traditions regarding Valentine's Day. She shared on social media that neither she nor Irrfan ever celebrated the occasion, as the actor found it to be a 'ridiculous' concept driven by merchandise companies.

Sikdar emphasized that their decision was one of choice, not fear. She humorously noted that abstaining from Valentine's Day celebrations also helped them save money and avoid potential harassment from 'Sanskari' goons, though she acknowledged such groups were less prevalent in their earlier years.

Despite their personal stance, Sutapa Sikdar expressed that she respects her sons' choices should they wish to celebrate Valentine's Day. She playfully suggested that a unique gift for the occasion could be organic vegetables from their farm, imagining Irrfan's amused reaction to such an idea.
