Influencer Apologizes Over Peacock Feather Costume

Bigg Boss Kannada fame dancer and influencer Kishen Bilagali has issued an apology regarding a recent controversy surrounding a costume adorned with peacock feathers. Bilagali stated that his intention was not to misuse wildlife, explaining that he had seen peacock feathers used in numerous cultural and religious settings since childhood, leading him to believe renting such an outfit would be acceptable.

He clarified that the costume was obtained from a rental vendor. However, upon receiving a complaint and legal notice, he was educated by forest officials about the Wildlife Protection Act and the implications of using peacock feathers. Bilagali and his team immediately took down the video from social media platforms.

Bilagali appealed to the public, including parents and event organizers, to refrain from using peacock feather costumes, even for children's fancy dress competitions, emphasizing the importance of animal preservation. He concluded with an unconditional apology to anyone offended by the incident, stressing his desire to avoid being known for the wrong reasons.
