At Lakmē Fashion Week X FDCI, Indriya, the Aditya Birla Group's jewellery brand, unveiled 'Orizon' in collaboration with designer Amit Aggarwal. This showcase merged cutting-edge sculptural design with the rich heritage of Indian craftsmanship, offering a modern interpretation of traditional jewellery.
The collection explored a narrative of transformation, moving from shadow to illumination, inspired by the adage 'Tamaso ma jyotir gamaya.' Aggarwal’s garments, featuring sculptural silhouettes and experimental techniques, complemented Indriya's jewellery, which ranged from the quiet brilliance of diamonds to vibrant arrangements of precious stones.
A standout feature was Indriya's contemporary reimagining of Polki. Utilizing heritage techniques enhanced by innovative settings, including a unique samosa-dart setting, the brand amplified the stones' brilliance and fluidity. This approach created lighter, more fluid pieces that contour seamlessly to the body while retaining a sense of grandeur.
Model Disha Patani closed the show, embodying the collection's theme of moving from darkness to light in Aggarwal's couture adorned with Indriya's statement pieces. The collaboration aimed to demonstrate how tradition can evolve and empower, serving as a departure point for modern expression.
