Indonesia Unveils 10 Promising IPs for 2025 Content Market

In October 2025, the Jogja-Netpac Asian Film Festival (JAFF) is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary with the unveiling of 10 original intellectual properties (IPs) selected for its 2025 Content Market. The initiative, backed by Indonesia's Ministry of Creative Economy, is designed to bridge the country's publishing, gaming, and music sectors with its expanding film and streaming industries.

The selected lineup includes a diverse array of IPs, spanning video games, comics, novels, animation, and digital content. Among the highlighted projects are the video game "Amurva" from Ninoi Kiling, the comics "Elang Hitam," "Jemawa Yangti," "Journal of Terror," "The Summoning," and "World Without Sleep," and the animation project "Meng" from Monoma Films. The program also features the novels "Sangkakala di Langit Andalusia" and "Tabi," as well as the digital content "Gloomy Sunday."

"The strength of Indonesia's creative economy lies in its storytelling," said Teuku Riefky Harsya, the Minister of Creative Economy. "Through platforms like JAFF Content Market, we can transform local intellectual properties into globally relevant creative products."

The Content Market, set to run from November 29 to December 1, 2025, will provide a platform for the selected IPs to be showcased and pitched to potential producers, investors, and distributors from across Asia. The initiative builds on the momentum from the previous JAFF Content Market in 2024, where three Indonesian IPs were selected for Cannes Film Festival's Spotlight Asia program.
