In a surprising move, the beloved UK indie-pop group Heavenly, which was active from 1989 to 1996, has reunited and announced plans for a 2026 North American and European tour. The tour will support the band's upcoming reunion album, which is set to be released in February 2026.
Heavenly, led by Amelia Fletcher and Rob Pursey, last released an album in 1996 with "Operation Heavenly." The group then went on hiatus for nearly 30 years before reuniting in 2022 and playing a few shows in their homeland. Now, they are set to embark on a much larger tour, beginning on February 25, 2026, in Coventry, England and concluding on June 28, 2026, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The upcoming album will be Heavenly's first new release in almost three decades, following the reissue of their 1996 album "Operation Heavenly" this past July. The band also released a 7" single with the new song "Portland Town" last summer, which featured a cover of the Only Ones' "Someone Who Cares" as the B-side.
