Indian Netflix Hits Global Charts!

Indian entertainment is currently achieving significant success on Netflix's global charts, demonstrating the worldwide appeal of its diverse content. Titles spanning various genres, including crime thrillers and spy-action dramas, are resonating with international audiences.

Kartavya has climbed to the number one position on the Global Top 10 Non-English Films list, amassing 16.3 million viewing hours over two weeks. Another film, Dhurandhar: Raw & Undekha, secured the fifth spot on the same list with 4.9 million hours viewed globally. The unscripted series Desi Bling also proved popular, reaching sixth place on the Global Top 10 Non-English TV chart with 10.4 million viewing hours.

These achievements contribute to a consistent presence of Indian titles on Netflix's global lists, with at least one Indian show or film appearing weekly since 2025. Previously, Taskaree: The Smuggler's Web was the first Indian series to top the Global Non-English TV list, and Kohrra Season 2 had a two-week run on the Global Top 10 Series list. Accused (2026) further expanded this reach, trending in over 70 countries.

This trend reflects Netflix India's strategic focus on creating a broad content slate. This includes blockbuster films, premium series, unscripted shows, comedy formats, and culturally relevant stories designed for international appeal. Licensed content like the film Border 2 also saw success, trending in 16 countries.
