India Bets Big on AI Filmmaking with New Studio

Abundantia Entertainment and InVideo have partnered to establish India's largest AI-driven film production studio, backed by an INR100 crore investment. This significant commitment, announced at the India AI Film Festival in New Delhi, aims to shape the future of filmmaking.
The collaboration will focus on developing and producing five AI-driven films within the next three years. Operating through Abundantia's aiON division, the studio will utilize InVideo's generative video technology to reimagine film conception, development, and production processes.
Vikram Malhotra, CEO of Abundantia Entertainment, described AI as the next pivotal advancement in cinema, akin to sound and color. He emphasized that AI will amplify filmmakers' creative voices rather than replace them, fostering a blend of human imagination and artificial intelligence.
Sanket Shah, CEO of InVideo, highlighted the partnership's role in democratizing high-quality filmmaking. InVideo, with over 50 million users globally, aims to accelerate creators' journeys from concept to cinematic expression through enhanced tools and workflows.
Abundantia's aiON division is already developing two AI-driven features, "Chiranjeevi Hanuman" and "Jai Santoshi Mata: Sukh Sampatti Daata." InVideo, which has previously collaborated with Google Cloud on AI filmmaking tools, brings substantial user reach and venture backing to this new venture.
