The grand steps of Vidhana Soudha are set to become a vibrant concert stage this Independence Day. The state government is organizing Freedom Habba, a musical celebration to mark the occasion.
The Freedom Habba's Music Collective will showcase ten of Bengaluru's most celebrated music artists. These include Raghu Dixit, Praveen D. Rao, M.D. Pallavi, Bruce Lee Mani, Sanjith Hegde, Brodha V., Siddhartha Belamannu, Varijashree Venugopal, Harish Sivaramakrishnan, and Nakul Abhyankar. The concert is scheduled to commence at 6 p.m. on Friday.
Greater Bengaluru Development Minister Krishna Byre Gowda emphasized the desire for a shared celebration, stating, "Independence Day should be experienced not just as a ceremony, but as a celebration we create together." He highlighted music as a unifying force for the city, especially within a public space like Vidhana Soudha.
While the concert offers free entry, attendees must pre-register by scanning a provided QR code. This pre-registration is mandatory and requires a valid government-issued identification card for entry, given the venue's location within the Vidhana Soudha complex.
