Summary
- In-laws compete together for the first time in the show's history.
- The journey spans 12,000km across Europe and Asia.

A new season of 'Race Across The World' features a groundbreaking pairing: in-laws Mark and Margo, who admit to being 'effectively strangers' before this challenge. Their decision to compete stems from a poignant dying wish by Mark's late wife and Margo's sister, Julia, who wanted them to become friends after her passing.
This sixth series presents the most difficult journey yet, spanning 12,000 kilometers across Europe and Asia, culminating in northern Mongolia. Five teams, including best friends, siblings, and cousins, will race through multiple countries such as Italy, Greece, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Following the show's stringent rules, participants must complete the race without smartphones or bank cards, relying solely on cash equivalents for travel. The winning duo will claim a £20,000 prize, with the competition unfolding over nine episodes on BBC One. The BBC is also expanding its content with new spin-off video podcasts for iPlayer and other platforms.
