Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan has shed light on the postponement of the upcoming Bollywood war drama, Ikkis, starring his grandson Agastya Nanda. Contrary to speculation about avoiding box office clashes, Bachchan indicated that astrological guidance influenced the decision to shift the film's release.
The movie, initially slated for a December 25 release, is now scheduled to premiere on January 1, 2026. Bachchan shared this update on X, explaining that astrological advice suggested this date would be more auspicious for the film's success, encouraging acceptance of the change.
Ikkis is a significant project for Agastya Nanda, representing his first major theatrical release following his debut in 'The Archies.' The film honors the bravery of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal, India's youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, and features a cast including Jaideep Ahlawat and Simar Bhatia.
