The Kerala State Chalachitra Academy is preparing to host the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) from December 12 to 19. A special screening lineup will feature 11 notable films that previously received the prestigious Golden Crow Pheasant award. Presiding over the international competition jury is acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Rasoulof. He is celebrated for his numerous accolades, including multiple awards at the Cannes Film Festival, and has faced significant censorship from the Iranian government, leading to his current residence in Germany. Other distinguished jury members include Spanish actress Ángela Molina and filmmakers Bùi Thạc Chuyên, Edmund Yeo, and Sandhya Suri.
The festival aims to showcase cinematic excellence, bringing together globally recognized films and esteemed industry professionals.
