In 2025, the iconic Standard Hotel on the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles is set to undergo a transformation. The hotel, known for its outrageous reputation, including upside-down signage, "Box Girl" performance art, and star-studded nights of debauchery, is being revived by hotelier Ian Schrager.
Schrager, who co-founded the legendary Studio 54 in New York, is bringing his expertise to the new hotel, Public West Hollywood. The 137-key property will offer a blend of luxury and accessibility, with a focus on creating a "luxury for all" experience. The hotel will feature a lushly landscaped, 16,000 square-foot open-air rooftop terrace with 360-degree views of Los Angeles, as well as a pool on the ground floor.
