The beloved soap opera "Days of Our Lives" is marking a remarkable milestone this year, as the show celebrates its 60th anniversary. First premiering on November 8, 1965, the series has captivated audiences for over six decades, delivering dramatic storylines and memorable characters.
While some of the original cast members have sadly passed away over the years, many of the show's veteran actors have remained a part of the production, continuing to bring the fictional town of Salem to life. Prior to the show's 60th anniversary, several past and present cast members, including Deidre Hall, Alison Sweeney, and Susan Seaforth Hayes, reunited to commemorate the impressive achievement.
"It's completely unheard of to go 60 years, and yet here we are, and I think it's due to a lot of people doing a lot of things right," shared Deidre Hall, one of the show's longest-tenured performers. The series has aired over 15,000 episodes since its debut, following the lives and relationships of the Brady and Horton families in the small town of Salem, Illinois.
