Actor Mohammad Ali Baig recently made a notable appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, coinciding with the screening of his debut feature film's trailer, Chand Tara: The Legend of Taramati. The film is set against the historical backdrop of Hyderabad during the Qutub Shahi dynasty, focusing on the story of Taramati and Sultan Abdullah Qutub Shah.

Baig shared that his experience at Cannes was both "overwhelming" and "enriching," highlighting the festival as a vital platform for global filmmakers to connect and exchange ideas. He chose to wear traditional Hyderabadi attire, including a silk kurta with intricate embroidery and an Ikat stole, to proudly represent his region's heritage on the international stage.
