Summary
- Huma Qureshi's role in 'Jolly LLB 2' was significantly reduced during editing
- Her strongest scene was cut from the final film, leaving her character with little arc
- 'Jolly LLB 3' to reunite Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi in another courtroom drama

In November 2025, actor Huma Qureshi opened up about her experience working on the 2017 film 'Jolly LLB 2', directed by Subhash Kapoor. Qureshi revealed that a significant portion of her role was removed during the editing process, leaving her character with little to do in the final cut of the Akshay Kumar-starrer.
Qureshi, who had collaborated with Kapoor on the film, expressed her disappointment over the drastic reduction in her screen time. "It was not a very big part, but during the edit, my role became even smaller," she said in a recent interview. Qureshi further shared that one of her strongest scenes even made it to the film's trailer but was eventually cut from the final version.
Despite her frustration, Qureshi acknowledged that such situations are not uncommon in the filmmaking process. "Sometimes, some of your best scenes get cut out. No one really plans it, but it happens," she said, adding that she was "very upset" that her character did not have a proper arc in the film.
Meanwhile, the much-anticipated 'Jolly LLB 3' is set to reunite Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi in another courtroom drama. The film, also featuring Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Seema Biswas, Saurabh Shukla, and Gajraj Rao, is scheduled to begin streaming on Netflix and Jio Hotstar from November 14, 2025, following its theatrical run.
