Huma Qureshi Dismisses Engagement Rumors: "My Wedding, My Announcement"

In September 2025, a viral picture and a cryptic Instagram post from singer Akasa Singh sparked speculation that actress Huma Qureshi had exchanged rings with her rumored partner, acting coach Rachit Singh. However, Huma has now addressed the ongoing buzz around her personal life.

Responding to the engagement rumors, Huma said, "What can I say? People have too much time on their hands. I'm sure when the time is right, I'll make an announcement. But before I can announce, people have already decided to do it. When it happens, we will let you know. Why should I clear any air? I didn't put it out there... It is somebody's active imagination."

Acknowledging the public's curiosity, Huma added, "I do understand that because I'm a public figure, everyone's interested in what's going on with my life -- which is sweet and kind. The day it stops happening, perhaps, that might bother me. It's the deal you make with the devil -- the price of all the love and attention I get for my work. And it's a small price to pay."

Huma emphasized that her personal life is her private matter and she is not bothered by the speculation. She stated, "I don't even think about it. I live my life, I'm happy, and I know what's happening in my life. My contract with my audience is only as far as my work is concerned. My personal life is my private matter."
