In a significant move, Hulu has secured the U.S. distribution rights to the upcoming Spanish psychological thriller series 'Innate'. The 8-part show, commissioned by Netflix's Spanish arm, is set to captivate American audiences with its gripping narrative.
'Innate' follows the story of Sara, a psychologist who has left behind a traumatic past as the daughter of Félix Garay, a serial killer once dubbed 'the Diesel Killer' by the press. Her seemingly idyllic life with her husband Aitor and their teenage son Sebas begins to crumble when Félix is released from prison, coinciding with a new wave of crimes that eerily mirror the murders committed 25 years ago.
Produced by ITV Studios-owned Plano a Plano, in association with Dynamic Television, 'Innate' is billed as a "gripping exploration of family, trauma and hidden truths." The series is directed by Lino Escalera and Inma Torrente, with a talented cast including Elena Anaya, Imanol Arias, and Roberto Álamo.
