At the recent British Grand Prix, actor Hugh Grant had to correct veteran Formula 1 presenter Martin Brundle during a live interview. Brundle, known for his Sky Sports grid walks, mistakenly complimented Grant on his role in the Netflix crime series 'The Gentlemen.' Grant politely informed Brundle that he had actually starred in the 2019 Guy Ritchie film of the same name, but had not been involved in the subsequent Netflix television adaptation. This exchange happened as Brundle interviewed numerous celebrities attending the event at Silverstone.
The Netflix series 'The Gentlemen,' which premiered in 2024, is a spin-off from the 2019 film. Filming for the second season of the popular show recently concluded in October 2025, with its release anticipated for autumn 2026. The series features Theo James and Kaya Scodelario, with new cast members like Hugh Bonneville and Maya Jama joining for the upcoming season.
