The fourth and final season of House of the Dragon is poised to deliver the most destructive events of the Dance of Dragons. Audiences can anticipate an epic clash between Daemon Targaryen and Aemond Targaryen above the God's Eye, resulting in the deaths of two major dragons, Vhagar and Caraxes. The season will also depict the tragic Storming of the Dragonpit, where a mob slaughters five dragons, including Helaena's Dreamfyre, and Rhaenyra's youngest son, Joffrey, dies attempting to ride Syrax.
Rhaenyra herself meets a fiery end, burned alive by Aegon II's dragon, Sunfyre, shortly after Aegon II reclaims Dragonstone. The war concludes with Aegon II's poisoning and the subsequent ascension of Aegon III to the Iron Throne. Cregan Stark's arrival, known as the Hour of the Wolf, will see justice dispensed for Aegon II's death. Many significant characters perish, while a few, like Corlys Velaryon and Alyn of Hull, survive the devastating conflict.
