As the Targaryen civil war escalates in "House of the Dragon," Season 3 promises even bloodier conflicts following Season 2's cliffhanger. Daemon Targaryen has found a new purpose after a vision quest at Harrenhal, where he saw the Ice and Fire prophecy connecting to "Game of Thrones." This vision prompted him to fully commit to Rhaenyra's cause.
Meanwhile, Queen Alicent secretly met with Rhaenyra at Dragonstone, proposing a truce. Her plan involves Aegon and Criston Cole taking Harrenhal, allowing Alicent and Helaena to control King's Landing. Rhaenyra, however, insists Aegon must be killed for true peace.
Despite Alicent's willingness to sacrifice her son for a peaceful realm, Aegon is already being moved from King's Landing by Larys Strong. The season finale also saw alliances forming, with the Starks and Daemon rallying for Rhaenyra, and Lannisters and Hightowers converging for the Greens.
The looming Battle of the Gullet, a major naval engagement, is set to be one of the deadliest in Westerosi history, marking a new peak in the war.
