Northern Irish actor Finnian Garbutt, 28, has announced he is battling terminal cancer and is entering the final stages of his life. He shared this personal update via Instagram, explaining that the skin cancer he was diagnosed with five years ago has progressed rapidly.
Garbutt revealed that scans showed the cancer had advanced significantly. He was diagnosed with Stage IV melanoma in August 2024, just two weeks before the birth of his daughter, Saoirse. He is now focusing on spending quality time with his loved ones.
Despite the devastating news, Garbutt reflected on achieving several life goals since his initial diagnosis, including roles in television and film, purchasing a home, marrying his wife Louise Agnew, and becoming a father.
He urged others to check their skin for any suspicious moles or changes, emphasizing that early detection of melanoma is crucial for successful treatment. Garbutt's initial diagnosis of malignant melanoma occurred four years ago after noticing a mole on his scalp.
