HOPE Film India Release Delayed to October
23 Sep
Summary
- India release of Korean sci-fi thriller HOPE postponed from September 25.
- Dubbed versions' certification process caused the delay; English version is cleared.
- HOPE continues its worldwide release, already a box-office success in the US.

The Indian theatrical release of the Korean sci-fi thriller HOPE has been rescheduled from its initial September 25 date. The film's distributor in India, Star Entertainment, has decided to defer the release to allow more time for the necessary certifications of its Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and other dubbed versions. While the English version has successfully obtained its CBFC certificate without any cuts, the dubbing process is still underway. Consequently, HOPE is now tentatively targeting an October release in India, with an official announcement of the final date expected shortly.
HOPE is currently enjoying a successful worldwide theatrical run, with its release continuing through November 2026. The film is set to premiere in the UK, Sweden, Switzerland, and Ireland this week, followed by releases in Argentina, Germany, France, and Spain in October. Notably, HOPE has achieved a significant box office milestone in the United States, crossing USD 7 million and becoming the highest-grossing Korean film in that market. Directed by Na Hong-jin, the film features a star-studded cast including Hwang Jung-min, Jo In-sung, Jung Ho-yeon, Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, and Taylor Kitsch.
