Summary
- Singer denies releasing the 2006 song 'Vol. 1' with Badshah.
- Honey Singh seeks removal of the alleged vulgar track from platforms.
- Delhi High Court seeks affidavits from Singh and Badshah on the matter.

On Thursday, Yo Yo Honey Singh informed the Delhi High Court that he did not sing the 2006 song titled 'Vol. 1'. The track is allegedly part of an earlier collaboration with Badshah under the name Mafia Mundeer.
Honey Singh's legal representative stated that the singer wishes to distance himself from the song's stigma and assist the court in its removal from online platforms. The court was also informed that similar proceedings are underway in a Nagpur court regarding the track, where Honey Singh has maintained the same position.
The Hindu Shakti Dal filed a petition seeking the song's removal, a claim Honey Singh's counsel disputed, particularly regarding an alleged performance at Delhi's Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium last year. The court has ordered Honey Singh to submit an affidavit detailing his stand and has scheduled the next hearing for May 19.
Additionally, the court requested the petitioner to serve notice to rapper Badshah and file an affidavit of service. Earlier, on April 2, the court had expressed strong disapproval of the song's vulgar and derogatory content, directing its online removal.
