SAG-AFTRA & Studios Extend Hollywood Deal Talks
6 Mar
Summary
- Union and studios extended negotiations by one week.
- Talks continue amid potential conflict with WGA negotiations.
- Current contract set to expire on June 30.

SAG-AFTRA and Hollywood studios have agreed to extend their contract negotiations by one additional week. The performers' union and the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers (AMPTP), representing companies such as Netflix and Paramount, are continuing discussions for a new three-year film and television agreement.
Both sides are operating under a media blackout during these talks. This extension allows for continued dialogue as the AMPTP is scheduled to begin negotiations with the Writers Guild of America on March 16. Despite the approaching deadline, the parties have scheduled further bargaining sessions ahead of SAG-AFTRA's contract expiration on June 30.
