Dubai's Cercamon has acquired the worldwide sales rights for the upcoming drama 'Hold Onto Me,' an official selection for the World Cinema Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival. This film represents the feature directorial debut of Myrsini Aristidou, an alumna of NYU's Tisch Graduate Film Program. The narrative centers on 11-year-old Iris as she searches for her father, Aris, at a derelict shipyard. Their reunion sparks a slow unfolding of a fragile father-daughter connection. The production is a collaborative effort between Cyprus, Denmark, and Greece. Cercamon plans to present the film to international buyers at the upcoming EFM Market following its Sundance debut. Director Aristidou described the film as exploring the "fragile beginnings of a bond that never had the chance to grow." She believes its themes of longing for connection will resonate universally.
