22 Oct
Summary
- Hoichoi's new series will stream in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on Netflix.
- Netflix will also add 14 existing Hoichoi series to its platform.
- Both companies will collaborate on new original series adaptations.

Bengali streaming service Hoichoi has announced a significant partnership with Netflix, aiming to broaden its audience through multilingual content. Under this agreement, all new Hoichoi series released over the next two years will be available on Netflix in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, coinciding with their original Bengali debut.
The first new series under this deal, "The Cursed Temple of Kauriburi," is set to launch on November 6, featuring folklore-rooted horror. Netflix will also be adding 14 existing Hoichoi series, spanning genres from crime thrillers to romance and drama, to its extensive catalog.
Beyond licensing content, Netflix and Hoichoi will co-produce new original series. Hoichoi Studios will spearhead the production of these adaptations, which are intended to introduce fresh creative voices. This move aligns with Netflix's strategy to enhance its original programming with licensed content from external producers.
Hoichoi, established in 2017, boasts over 2,000 hours of content, including more than 100 original series, films, and documentaries, reaching an estimated 250 million Bengalis worldwide. The platform expanded into theatrical production in 2023 with the formation of Hoichoi Studios.
