The Hong Kong International Film Festival Society is set to present four new projects at its Industry Project Market, a result of strategic new partnerships. These include collaborations with Jakarta Film Week, JAFF Market, and the Japan Creator Support Fund.
The four development-stage titles will be showcased alongside 42 other projects. This initiative expands the HKIFF Industry's existing partnership with Jakarta Film Week to also include JAFF Market, underscoring support for Indonesia's film sector.
Further expanding its reach, HKIFF Industry's collaboration with the Japan Creator Support Fund introduces the 'Film Frontier' section. This section highlights Japanese filmmakers actively seeking international co-production and collaboration opportunities.
All shortlisted projects are eligible to compete for cash and in-kind prizes totaling $360,000 across 17 categories. These prizes offer crucial development and post-production financing, equipment, and services, supporting filmmakers' creative endeavors.
