On November 4th, 2025, the Hindu College amphitheatre in New Delhi came alive with vibrant colors and creativity as Abstractions, the college's fine arts society, hosted its annual art exhibition, Minerva's Galore. This year's exhibition, the first major event of the academic calendar, paid tribute to the 25-year legacy of Abstractions and its unwavering commitment to artistic freedom and expression.
Centered around the theme "War and Peace", the exhibition examined how narratives of conflict and resolution transcend time and culture. Six collective artworks were showcased, each inspired by a distinct mythology - Mahabharata, Mayan, Buddhist, Japanese, Mesopotamian and Egyptian. The student artists reflected on how timeless myths of conflicts, reconciliation and coexistence echo the dilemmas of the contemporary world, positioning art as an instrument in the quest for harmony and humanity.
